Maria’s Mexican Restaurant has a rich history, beginning in 1988 when Maria and Randy Braglia opened their first location in Elmwood Park. Over the years, the restaurant gained a loyal following, leading to the opening of a second location near Rosemont/O'Hare in 1992. As the original Elmwood Park location became too small to accommodate its growing customer base, they seized the opportunity to purchase a larger venue at 1905 N. Harlem Ave., which had previously housed other restaurants.

In the fall of 1997, Maria's Mexican Restaurant opened its doors at the Harlem Avenue location, which has recently been remodeled to meet the needs of its customers. Both locations are designed to serve the community for many more years to come.

Maira is actively involved in both restaurants throughout the week, while her sister and sons manage the daily operations. The family continues to share a common goal of providing traditional Mexican cuisine within a welcoming environment. Their passion and commitment to quality and service reflects their dedication to maintaining the restaurant's legacy and fostering a positive dining experience for all.
